Ron McKernan

Ron “Pigpen” McKernan was an American musician and founding member of the Grateful Dead, known for his soulful vocals, bluesy harmonica, and charismatic stage presence. As one of the band’s original members, Pigpen brought a raw, emotional energy that helped define the early sound of the Grateful Dead.
