Why the Xbox Series X is a worthwhile investment?

Why the Xbox Series X is a worthwhile investment? - SOLE SERIOUSS

Though launched more than a year ago, the Microsoft Xbox Series X still remains one of the most sought-after gaming consoles worldwide. This sleek, bulky and minimalistic gaming console has captured the attention of gamers worldwide- irrespective of them being hardcore gamers, casual gamers, or beginners. In this post, we’ll see why you should invest in the Xbox Series X for an immersive gaming experience.

What makes the Xbox Series X a potent gaming machine?

Design- At first glance, the Xbox Series X looks like a miniature PC. Though its design is simple and uninspiring, this minimalism is what makes the Xbox Series X stand out. Though this gaming console is bulky, it isn’t as bulky as its competitors. This Xbox can be placed either upright or on its side, as it sucks cool air from one end and vents it from the other. Microsoft has taken great pains to engineer this gaming console in such a way that it fulfills all the gaming requirements besides being extremely efficient.

Ports and Expansion- At the front, the Xbox Series X only has a Blu-ray disk drive and a USB 3.1 Type-A port. In addition to this, a wireless controller pairing button is there in the front. At the rear, however, there is a much bigger selection- an HDMI 2.1 port, 2 USB 3.1 ports, Kensington Lock, and also an Ethernet port. The handiest port there is the memory expansion slot, where you can add memory up to 1 TB of extra storage.

Unlike its predecessors, the Xbox Series X does not have an HDMI-in port or an optical audio connection. The HDMI 2.1 port is specifically for those TVs that allow 120 Hz panels crucial for gaming at 8K. Though this may seem like a setback for some, this compulsion makes sure you have an unparalleled gaming experience with the best viewing and audio experience.

Interface and Quick Resume- If you read any Microsoft Xbox Series X review, one thing that everyone would vouch for is the quick resume option that is a game-changer on this amazing Microsoft gaming console. Though games load quickly on most latest gaming consoles, the Series X stands out with its Quick Resume feature.

With this, you can switch between games without them taking any time to load. You can even stream the game onto another device using your local Wi-Fi connection. For this, you need to press the Xbox button on your controller when you’re on one game and switch to the other in real-time. When needed, you can go back to the first game and continue where you left off.

Coming to the interface, it is pretty much the same as its predecessor, the Xbox One. The UI of the Xbox gaming console was very comprehensive, anyway. What is noteworthy though is the Series X’s Xbox game pass, which is perhaps one of a kind in the gaming console market.

Xbox Series X’s USP- Xbox Game Pass- This Netflix-like service is where Xbox gets a step ahead of its competitors. For an affordable price of $9.99, you get to play a host of old and new games on this flagship gaming console. Many of these games come with enhancements that allow them to be played on the Xbox Series X. If you want a sweeter deal, you can pay $14.99 for the Xbox game pass ultimate which allows you to play both Xbox and PC games on the Series X gaming console. Microsoft further plans to release all the latest games on day one of their releases. This offers you an affordable way to get new games for your Xbox gaming console.

Performance-Though there weren’t many Xbox Series X compatible games when launched, things have changed for the better since then. 12 teraflops of powerful graphics can make playing any game a true game-changer.

For example, the Assassin’s Creed Valhalla game was initially not compatible with the Xbox Series X. Though you could play this game on the Series X, there was a lot that would’ve made the experience better. In fact, gamers complained that the gaming experience on the Series X was not at par with its competitors.

When Microsoft finally released a patch that enabled you to play Assassin’s Creed Valhalla on the Series X, most complaints were resolved. Ditto with other games like Gears 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2.

Games availability- At present, there aren’t many games that you can play exclusively on the Xbox Series X. However, there are games you can play on the Xbox Series S and future gaming consoles that include Halo Infinite, Starfield, Fable 4, and many others.

Backward Compatibility- The best part of this latest gaming console by Microsoft is that you can play all Xbox One and older games on this platform. As we said, this is possible with the Xbox Game Pass we discussed earlier. Even though these older games would not use the Series X in its full capacity, at least you can play games that you would’ve on your older gaming consoles.

In fact, Microsoft is adding another 76 original Xbox and Xbox 360 games to the Xbox Game Pass to make them compatible with the Series X.

Controller- The new Xbox Wireless controller doesn’t disappoint, though it may look the same as the previous Xbox One controller. Many small improvements have made a big impact, like the textured triggers and the improved D-pad. The most noticeable change is the share button where you can share screenshots and recordings to your friends with a single tap.

The only major hiccup is its power source. The Xbox Wireless controller still gets most of its power from AA batteries. Though you can charge it with a rechargeable battery pack, the use of batteries can be a small hindrance.

Sum Up

There is no doubt this is one of Microsoft’s best gaming consoles. If you intend to Buy Microsoft Xbox Series X online, there can be hiccups as stocks vanish as soon as they are replenished. A major reason for this is the chip shortage that has affected electronics and Microsoft’s ability to replenish stocks.

Anyways, the chances of you not getting your hands on the Xbox Series X is slim here at Sole Seriouss. Though most of you’ll claim we are the best online sneaker store, we also stock those electronics and apparel that are hard to come by otherwise.

Have you still not got your hands on the Xbox Series X? We’re here to help.
